“Are you alright, human mother?” asked the eagle.

The woman looked up, startled.
Her hand rested on her growing belly.

“I’m scared,” she admitted.
“My baby’s almost here, and I want to give him the best life—one full of joy, not pain. But… how will I know if I’m raising him right?”

The eagle stepped closer, her eyes wise and steady.

“Raising a child is never about keeping everything soft and easy,” the eagle said. “In fact, it’s the opposite.”

“When my eaglets are born, my nest is filled with comfort—soft feathers, warm grasses, a safe place to rest. But when it’s time for them to grow, I begin pulling it all out. I leave only the thorns.”

The woman frowned.
“Thorns? But… why make it so hard?”

“Because comfort never taught anyone to fly,” said the eagle.
“The thorns push them out. They become restless. They seek the sky. And that’s when the real learning begins.”

The mother grew quiet, thinking.

“And what if they fall?” she asked softly.

“Oh, they will,” said the eagle. “At first, the wind tosses them like leaves. But I’m there. I catch them with my claws… and I throw them back again. Over and over, until they stop falling.”

“And then?”

“Then I stop catching them,” said the eagle.
“Not because I don’t love them. But because they must learn to soar without me.”

The woman’s eyes welled with tears.
“So… I should let my child struggle?”

The eagle nodded.
“It’s not struggle—it’s growth. It’s learning. And yes, sometimes it will hurt. But that hurt? That’s how wings get strong.”

“Don’t hold him back with fear.
Don’t shelter him from every bump and fall.
Let him face the wind. Let him rise. Let him become who he’s meant to be.”

The woman touched her belly, breathed deeply, and gave the eagle a grateful smile.

“Thank you, mother eagle,” she whispered.
“I understand now.”

And she walked away, no longer just a mother in waiting…
But a mother prepared to teach her child how to fly.

A blonde woman was driving about two hours outside of San Diego when she noticed a man waving her down on the side of the road.

His truck had broken down, and as she pulled over, he approached her car.

“Are you heading to San Diego?” he asked.

“Sure am!” she replied. “Do you need a ride?”

“Not for me,” the man said. “I’ll be here fixing my truck for a while. But I have two chimpanzees in the back, and they need to get to the San Diego Zoo. They’re already stressed, and I don’t want them stuck on the road all day. Would you mind taking them for me? I’ll even give you $200 for the trouble.”

“Of course!” the blonde said cheerfully.

The man helped secure the two chimpanzees in her back seat, made sure they were comfortable, and sent them on their way.

Several hours later, as he finally made it into San Diego, the truck driver was stunned by what he saw—there was the blonde, walking down the street, holding hands with the two chimps, while a crowd gathered around, laughing and snapping pictures.

Slamming on his brakes, he jumped out of his truck and ran up to her.

“What on earth are you doing?” he exclaimed. “I gave you $200 to take them to the zoo!”

“I did take them to the zoo,” she said with a smile. “But we had some money left over, so now we’re headed to SeaWorld!”
