Legal analyst is left sh0cked by Trump’s major mishap on ‘easiest question in human history’

Donald Trump has dominated headlines over the past week, particularly due to renewed attention on his past connections to Jeffrey Epstein—and a fresh controversy surrounding Ghislaine Maxwell, Epstein’s longtime associate.

The Trump administration has urged the public to move on from the Epstein scandal. However, this call has only reignited scrutiny into Trump’s history with the disgraced financier.

Although Trump has repeatedly claimed he distanced himself from Epstein long before the allegations became public, describing him as someone he “didn’t like,” his past interactions continue to raise questions.

One such revelation came from The Wall Street Journal, which reported that in 2003, Ghislaine Maxwell gathered written messages from Epstein’s social circle to mark his 50th birthday—and Trump was among the contributors.

According to the WSJ, Trump’s note appeared on a page illustrated with a hand-drawn nxde woman and read, “Happy Birthday – and may every day be another wonderful secret.”

While Trump dismissed the note as a fabrication, The New York Times recently countered this claim, reporting that his name is indeed listed among those who contributed to Epstein’s birthday tribute.

Maxwell, now serving a 20-year prison sentence for aiding Epstein, is reportedly cooperating with investigators and sharing information about individuals linked to Epstein’s activities.

Meanwhile, Trump is facing growing criticism for his unclear and evasive responses when asked about Maxwell.

During a press interaction, a reporter asked if he believed Maxwell had provided credible information to authorities.

Trump replied, “[It]’s going to be up to her. Whatever she thinks is credible, she should release.”

The exchange took a more controversial turn when Trump was then asked whether he would consider granting Maxwell a pardon or commuting her sentence.

His response: “It’s something I haven’t thought about. It’s something—I’m allowed to do it, but it’s something I have not thought about.”

This prompted strong backlash, especially from CNN legal analyst Elie Honig, who appeared visibly sh0cked by the president’s lack of a firm stance.

Speaking on July 26, Honig called it “the easiest question in human history,” and expressed disbelief that Trump didn’t immediately rule out the possibility.

He added that while he personally found it unlikely Trump would issue such a pardon, people who had previously worked closely with Trump believe the possibility shouldn’t be dismissed outright.

In the meantime, pressure is mounting on Trump to release any documents or correspondence he may have related to the Epstein-Maxwell case.

As for Maxwell, unless a pardon or commutation does occur, she is expected to serve the remainder of her 20-year sentence.
