Before her d3ath, Princess Diana made a prediction concerning her eldest son, Prince William—which a formal royal reporter claims has come true.
Diana di:ed tragically in a vehicle accident in Paris in 1997, when William was only 15 years old, along with her partner Dodi Fayed and chauffeur Henri Paul.
His mother’s loss had a significant impact on him and his brother, Prince Harry, as the Prince of Wales described bereavement as the’very worst anguish that kid or parent would ever face’.
Meanwhile, the Duke of Sussex had previously spoken out about his phone contact with his mother, admitting he regretted how’short the phone call was’.
Former BBC royal correspondent Jennie Bond reportedly remembered a discussion she had with Diana before her passing, in which she allegedly discussed her eldest son and his popularity with the public.
“Clearly, William is doing something very right. His informal, approachable way of going about his work is resonating with the public,” Jennie told The Mirror.
“He even talks differently than prior generations. He’s well-spoken, but not unduly posh. He dresses properly, of course, but is frequently seen wearing jeans and trainers.
“He’ll pose for selfies with the crowds, he’ll even work the camera for them if they get flustered!”
Jennie also said that Diana predicted this herself, recalling how she replied, “William’s OK. The country is tremendously fortunate to have William. I think she was spot on.”
According to Statista, Prince William is the most popular living royal, followed by Kate Middleton and Princess Anne.
Then comes Prince Edward and Sophie, Duchess of Edinburgh, followed by King Charles.
Queen Camilla is ranked eighth in popularity, followed by Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie.
Prince Harry is currently ranked 10th in popularity, followed by his wife, Meghan Markle, who ranks 11th.
Earlier this week, we reported on Prince William’s apparent plans to quit a royal habit valued by King Charles.
According to journalist and pundit Richard Eden, when William ascends to the throne, he will most certainly reject the’streamlined monarchy’ that Charles, 76, has focused on in recent years.
“Prince William, like his father, has always preferred a slimmer monarchy as the future, and what that looks like now is just William and Catherine and their children,” podcast presenter Richard Eden explained on his Palace Confidential show this week.
“How on Earth could they justify all the wealth and castles for that single nuclear family?
“From what I’m hearing is that Prince William is starting to see the value of his cousins and what, in the long term, they could give.”
